- State conviction information and self-review: contact the Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification
- Arrest, booking, and jail records: contact the Mason County sheriff's records unit
- Official background checks: order through the Illinois State Police (ISP), Bureau of Identification
- Police reports and incident records: contact the agency that wrote the report
- Expungement and record sealing: file with the court that heard the case
